Want a nose job or thinking of waving goodbye to those moobs? Then you'll be pleased to hear there's an app for that.
In fact, there are several.
The latest iphone plastic surgery app allows you to view hundreds of before-and-after photos, turn your iPhone around to take your own photos, and with the touch of a button, email them to the doctor with your questions - like a free online consultation - all while sipping your latte.
It has been developed by Nebraska facial plastic surgeon Dr. Steven Denenberg. He says: “Just as most plastic surgeons now have Web sites, soon most will realize the value of using this new technology to describe their practices, display their skills, and give patients easy ways to contact them.
“With Apple on track to have 60 million iPhones sold by the end of 2009, and 120 million by the end of 2010, doctors can't ignore the importance of adding an iPhone app to their practices."
Two other plastic surgery apps are also available.
The Shafer Plastic Surgery App was recently hailed as the first plastic surgery app available in Apple’s iPhone App Store.
Created by New York-based Dr. David Shafer, it allows would-be patients to ask questions and get answers about plastic surgery by tapping into a database of more than 1,000 questions and answers about specific cosmetic surgery procedures.
There's also iSurgeon, developed by Miami cosmetic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer, It allows users to upload pictures of themselves and then modify them to see how they would look after plastic surgery.
The 'post-surgery' image can be stored on the iphone to show to friends and/or discuss with prospective surgeons.
All three apps are available from the itunes store
